About Eric S.

Eric S. Beiswanger built a legal path that begins in the classroom and moves steadily through courtrooms and small-firm practice. He earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 2005 after completing a B.A. at the University of California, Davis, where he studied political science and women’s studies, graduating in 2000. Those academic years shaped his understanding of law and policy and set the stage for practical work behind the scenes of the justice system.

Early in his career Beiswanger took on roles that exposed him to appellate work and public-interest law. In 2006 he served as a judicial extern at the California Courts for the Fifth District Court of Appeal. The following year he worked as an extern for the Hispanic National Bar Foundation in Washington, D.C., where he encountered national legal issues and the operations of a nonprofit legal organization. Those positions gave him experience in legal research, briefing and the procedural demands of appellate courts.

He moved into private practice soon after and spent time at firms in the Central Valley. In 2008 he worked at Allen, Proietti & Fagalde, LLP, and in 2009 at Allen, Fagalde, Albertoni & Flores, LLP. By 2011 he was practicing under his own name at the Law Offices of Eric S. Beiswanger. The transition to law office ownership followed years of handling cases and advising clients at the firm level.

Beiswanger is licensed in California and has developed a practice shaped by both his appellate experience and his work in local firms. He has balanced courtroom assignments and client counseling. His background includes legal research and writing from his appellate externship and day-to-day practice responsibilities from firm work.

Colleagues and clients have encountered him in settings that range from appellate brief drafting to managing matters at the trial level. He has worked in offices that serve California’s Central Valley and has a practical understanding of the legal landscape there. He combines the procedural awareness learned at the Fifth District Court of Appeal with the client-facing skills developed in private practice.

He maintains an office in Merced and has carried the name Law Offices of Eric S. Beiswanger since 2011. He currently operates a solo practice from his Merced office at the Law Offices of Eric S. Beiswanger.
