About Eric M.
Eric M. Schlimgen trained in South Dakota and returned there to build a law practice that blends courtroom experience and local ties. He holds a J.D. from the University of South Dakota School of Law (2013). He also earned graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of South Dakota: a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in political science and criminal justice.
His first legal position after law school was a judicial clerkship. In 2016 he served as a law clerk for the Unified Judicial System, Fourth Judicial Circuit. That year in chambers gave him regular exposure to trial procedure and written opinion drafting. The next step came in 2017, when he joined Clayborne, Loos & Sabers as an associate attorney.
