About Eric J

Eric J Youngquist earned his Juris Doctor from Western State University College of Law in 1985. He moved from law school into practice during a period of steady change in California courts. That training laid the groundwork for a long career in courtroom work and office leadership.

He formed the Law Offices Of Eric J. Youngquist and became managing partner in 2007. Over the years he has run a small firm that handles matters in state and federal settings. Managing a practice has required him to balance client work, court appearances and the administrative demands of running a law office.

In 2019 he served as Judge Pro Tempore in the Los Angeles County Superior Courts. The temporary bench role put him back on the other side of the bench and involved presiding over hearings and settlement conferences. Prior judicial service complemented his regular litigation calendar and widened his perspective on courtroom procedure.

Youngquist holds P.O.S.T. certifications at the Basic, Intermediate and Advanced levels from the State of California. Those credentials reflect formal training closely tied to law enforcement and public safety procedures. He also maintains memberships in several bar and civic groups. His affiliations include the San Bernardino County Bar Association (records show membership beginning in 2008 and another listing starting in 2017 that continues), the American Center for Law and Justice and the Riverside County Bar Association Public Service Law Corp., where he appears on rosters dating from 2017 forward. Since 2017 he has also worked as a pro bono lawyer through the Thomas More Law Center.

Those roles point to an attorney who has combined courtroom work with public service and pro bono involvement. He has practiced in California and in matters before the Federal Circuit. He has handled the tasks that come with running a law office and has stepped into temporary judicial duties when called upon. He currently practices at the Law Offices Of Eric J. Youngquist, where he handles matters in California and before the Federal Circuit.
