About Eric J
Eric J Ronke earned his law degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law, beginning his studies in 2009 and receiving his J.D. in 2012. Those years in law school shaped his approach to practice. He studied the courtroom and the paperwork, and he left law school ready to set up a practice of his own.
He launched a solo practice soon after graduation, opening the Ronke Law Office in 2012. Starting alone taught him the daily demands of running a practice. He handled intake, client communications and the nuts-and-bolts of case preparation. The early years gave him a practical view of what clients need and how a small office operates.
In 2014 he joined colleagues in a new arrangement and served as managing partner at Ronke and Feist Law Office, Prof. LLC. That role expanded his responsibilities. He added supervision of other lawyers and staff to his routine. Office administration, file review and strategic planning became part of his work alongside client representation.
Across both solo practice and firm leadership, Ronke has built experience in the practical side of legal work. He has a record of running a practice through its various stages. Whether managing a caseload single-handedly or coordinating a team, he has dealt with scheduling, client expectations and the procedural steps that move cases forward in South Dakota courts.
His career has remained rooted in South Dakota since admission to the bar in 2012. He has maintained membership in state associations since then. That continuity reflects a practice centered on local rules and procedures. It also means he has spent his career operating under the same state system he represents clients in.
Today he practices under Ronke Law, PLLC. The office handles matters arising in state courts and represents clients drawn from the local community. He continues to balance the responsibilities of managing a practice with the direct work of counseling and representing clients. His current practice focuses on providing legal services to clients across South Dakota.
