About Eric Holcombe
Eric Holcombe Philpot is a personal injury attorney based in Greenville, South Carolina. He has been practicing law for over 20 years, focusing on personal injury litigation, motor vehicle accidents, and slip and fall cases. He is licensed to practice in all South Carolina state and federal courts. Eric earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of South Carolina in 1994. He then obtained his Juris Doctor from St.
Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida, in 1997. After law school, Eric clerked for the Honorable Rodney A. Peeples, Judge of the Second Judicial Circuit of South Carolina, from 1997 to 1998. In 1998, he joined the Philpot Law Firm, a family-owned practice in Greenville, where he has been serving clients ever since. Throughout his career, Eric has been recognized for his legal expertise and dedication to clients.
He was voted Best Trial Lawyer in the Greenville News Best of the Upstate 2019 and was a finalist in 2020. He has also been selected to the South Carolina Super Lawyers list for multiple years, including 2023 and 2024.
