About Ellis B.
Ellis B. Klein built his legal foundation in Pennsylvania. He earned a B.A. in political science and government from Albright College in 1990 and a J.D. from Widener University Delaware School of Law in 1994. Those years framed the start of a career spent largely in criminal defense and related courtroom work.
Fresh out of law school, he joined the District Lawyer's Office as a senior deputy district lawyer. The role put him on the front line of prosecutions and courtroom procedures early in his career. He cut his teeth there handling arraignments, preliminary hearings and trial preparation. That early courtroom time shaped how he approaches cases today.
In 1999 he became a partner at Young, Klein & Associates. As a partner he took on trial work across a range of criminal matters, including driving under the influence cases. The partnership years deepened his trial experience and expanded the types of clients he represented. He handled both misdemeanors and felonies, often arguing evidentiary issues and negotiating plea arrangements when appropriate.
Klein has been active in several professional organizations that reflect his practice areas. He holds memberships in the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Institute of Criminal Law Lawyers, the American Institute of DUI Lawyers, the American Society of Legal Advocates, the Bucks County Bar Association and the National Advocacy for DUI Defense. These memberships have kept him engaged with developments in DUI and criminal defense practice, rules of evidence and trial technique.
In 2015 he opened The Law Offices of Ellis B. Klein & Associates, LLC. As owner and lawyer he has overseen the firm's case intake and litigation strategy. His office represents clients charged with criminal offenses and DUI-related matters at county courts across Pennsylvania. He runs a small practice that emphasizes direct client contact and courtroom preparedness. Cases range from first-offense DUI matters to more complex criminal charges, and he often handles matters from initial arrest through trial.
Klein’s career follows a steady path from prosecutor-side experience to private criminal defense practice. He brings courtroom experience gained over decades to the clients he represents. He now leads The Law Offices of Ellis B. Klein & Associates, LLC and concentrates on criminal defense and DUI matters.
