About Ellen M.
Ellen M. Leibovitch has spent decades practicing law in Florida, building a steady presence in labor and employment matters and in the local legal community. She earned her J.D. in 1986 and a B.A. in 1983 from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Those academic years set the stage for a long career that has stayed rooted in the state.
After law school Ellen entered practice in Florida and took the steps necessary to appear in federal court. She is admitted to the Florida bar and to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida. Over time she moved into leadership roles at her firm and among her peers. She now serves as a partner at Assouline & Berlowe, P.A., where she has been a senior member of the team.
Her credentials include Board Certification as a Labor and Employment Lawyer from The Florida Bar. That credential signals a concentrated commitment to that area of law and a level of peer recognition through the bar’s certification process. It also aligns with the types of cases and matters she handles in state and federal courts.
Clients and colleagues recognize her involvement beyond the courtroom. Ellen has held multiple roles in local and statewide professional groups. She is a current member of The Florida Bar and the South Palm Beach County Bar Association. She serves on the board of directors of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association and on the board of the South Palm Beach County chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers. She also chairs the program committee for the Boca Raton chapter of the Women’s Leadership Express Network of the American Business Women’s Association, and sits on the board of Senior Care Strategies, Inc. In the business community she is active with Successful Women in Business through the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce.
Her practice combines courtroom work, advising clients on employment matters, and participation in professional organizations that shape the local legal landscape. She draws on decades of practice and her board certification when handling employment disputes, policy issues and related litigation in state and federal venues.
Ellen continues to practice law as a partner at Assouline & Berlowe, P.A., concentrating on labor and employment law in Florida and the federal districts where she is admitted.
