About Elizabeth P.

Elizabeth P. Davis built a law career that began in the classroom and moved quickly into the courtroom. She earned a J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2001 after completing a B.A. in Political Science, Spanish and French at Troy State University in 1997. Those dual language studies inform how she communicates with clients and juries alike.

Her first public role in the legal system came in 2002 when she served as an Assistant Public Defender across the 6th, 19th and 14th Judicial Circuits. She handled a broad range of criminal matters on behalf of indigent clients. The work required frequent courtroom appearances, fast-paced case preparation and regular interaction with investigators, family members and opposing counsel.

In 2009 she opened her own practice, the Law Offices of Elizabeth P. Davis. That step moved her from public defense into private practice while retaining a client-centered approach. Over the years she has represented people in criminal cases and related matters. She has experience managing cases from initial charges through trial and post-conviction stages.

Davis maintains active memberships in The Florida Bar and the Florida Association of Women Lawyers. She has also been involved in the Bay County Bar Association and served as its president. Those roles have kept her connected to local court administrators, judges and fellow lawyers. They have also provided a platform for mentoring newer attorneys and engaging in community legal issues.

Colleagues describe Davis as methodical and pragmatic in court. She prepares thoroughly, focuses on the immediate legal questions and adapts strategy as facts develop. Her language skills are a practical asset in client interviews and in explaining complex issues to nonlawyers. She continues to represent clients in Florida courts and conducts her practice through the Law Offices of Elizabeth P. Davis.

She currently practices law in Florida, representing clients in criminal matters and related proceedings.
