About Edna

Edna Pierre combines a multidisciplinary academic background with practice in Florida law. She earned a B.S. in Criminology from Florida State University in 2008. She then pursued two master’s degrees at Florida State, receiving an M.S. in Social Work and an M.S. in Public Administration, both conferred in 2011. After several years of study and early professional work, she completed her legal education at Stetson University College of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2015.

Her early education in criminology and social work informs how she approaches legal problems. Those degrees offered training in systems-level thinking and client-centered work. The public administration degree added a perspective on governance and policy. She moved from that foundation into law school, where she prepared for court practice and counseling clients.

Pierre established her practice in Florida and has practiced in the state since completing the J.D. Her professional path includes involvement in community and bar organizations. She joined the Haitian Lawyers Association in 2019 and took on a leadership role as a board director beginning in 2022. That role places her among peers working on issues affecting Haitian and Caribbean communities in the legal profession.

Colleagues describe her as methodical in case preparation and straightforward with clients. She emphasizes practical problem solving and clear communication. Her combined training allows her to look at matters through several lenses: legal strategy, client welfare, and administrative context. That perspective shapes how she evaluates cases and advises people facing legal problems.

At Pierre Legal, PA, she manages a range of matters for individuals and organizations in Florida. The firm handles litigation and transactional work, and she is responsible for client counseling, drafting, and courtroom advocacy where needed. She represents clients in state matters and coordinates with other professionals when cases touch on social services or public agencies.

Outside the office, she contributes time to professional associations and community groups tied to her background. Her board work at the Haitian Lawyers Association involves program planning, outreach, and mentorship efforts for younger lawyers. It is part of a broader interest in improving access to legal resources for underserved populations.

She now practices at Pierre Legal, PA, representing clients in matters arising under Florida law.
