About Elizabeth Nevins
Elizabeth Nevins Mulvey studied government at Harvard University before earning her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. Her academic background combined an interest in public institutions with formal legal training. That foundation shaped a career spent largely in courtrooms across New England.
Early in her career she moved into trial work and courtroom practice. Over time she helped build a firm that would carry her name. She is a founding partner of Crowe & Mulvey, LLP, where she has been a central figure in managing complex litigation and guiding trial teams. Her role at the firm blends courtroom advocacy with case strategy and firm leadership.
She holds admissions across several states and federal courts. Mulvey is admitted in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. She also maintains admissions to Massachusetts and New Hampshire federal courts, the First Circuit Court of Appeals and other state courts in the region. That range of jurisdictions has allowed her to handle multi-jurisdictional disputes and appeals for clients with matters that cross state lines.
Her professional life includes membership in committees that influence court administration and professional standards. She serves on the Executive Committee for the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and on the Standing Advisory Committee on Rules of Professional Conduct. Those roles involve deliberation about judicial procedure and ethical rules that affect practicing lawyers across the state. She has been a member of the Massachusetts State Bar since 1983.
Mulvey’s peers have placed her in a number of trial organizations. She belongs to the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, the American Board of Trial Advocates and the Inner Circle of Advocates. She is also active in the American Association for Justice, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association. The memberships reflect sustained involvement in groups that emphasize courtroom skills, appellate advocacy and trial procedure.
Clients and colleagues describe a lawyer who spends a great deal of time preparing cases for trial and appeal. She has worked in state courts across Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New Hampshire, and in federal courts including the First Circuit. At Crowe & Mulvey she focuses on trial and appellate matters across New England, representing clients in complex civil litigation in both state and federal venues.
