About Elizabeth A.

Elizabeth A. Arwood completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon, earning a B.A. in political science in 2006. She returned to school at Gonzaga University, where she earned both a J.D. and an M.B.A. in 2010. Those dual degrees set the stage for a career that blends legal practice and business management.

After law school she moved quickly into private practice. In 2011 she opened Arwood Law, PLLC and served as its principal lawyer. The early years of that practice involved building a client base in southwest Washington and developing courtroom experience. By 2017 she expanded her role, taking on a managing membership position at Arwood & Blum, PLLC, a firm that reflects her interest in combining practice management with client work.

Arwood is admitted to practice in both Washington and Oregon. She has been active in the Clark County Bar Association since 2012, participating in the Family Law Section and, until 2020, the Young Lawyer Section. Those roles have kept her connected to the local bench and bar and to the procedural changes that affect family law practitioners in the region.

Her work has centered on family law matters. She handles divorce, custody, and related civil issues that often overlap with financial and business concerns. Her M.B.A. background figures into cases that raise asset valuation, business ownership, or support calculations. In court she has represented clients at hearings and in negotiations, and she has guided clients through settlement processes and trial preparation when cases required it.

Colleagues describe her approach as practical and process-oriented. She balances case management with client counseling, explaining the legal and financial trade-offs that accompany family law decisions. She has also maintained ties to the local legal community through bar association service and section work, which has given her insight into evolving local practices and rules.

Arwood & Blum, PLLC remains the office listed for her practice. There she continues to handle family law cases and related civil matters, combining litigation work with attention to the financial and managerial aspects of client cases.

As of 2026 she continues to practice law in the Pacific Northwest, working on family law and associated civil matters.
