About Edwin S.
Edwin S. Booth built his legal foundation with a business degree from North Carolina State University and a law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law. He completed a B.S. in Business Management in 2001 and earned his J.D. in 2004. Those years set a steady course for a practice that spans state and federal work in the mid-Atlantic.
Early in his career he secured admission to practice before the courts that matter regionally. He is licensed in Virginia and North Carolina and maintains admission to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Those credentials have allowed him to appear in trial and appellate settings across several jurisdictions.
Booth moved into firm ownership in 2023 when he opened Booth Law PLLC. That step followed years of courtroom and office experience. At his firm he oversees strategy, client intake and the day-to-day decisions that shape litigation and case resolution. Colleagues describe him as methodical in how he prepares files and deliberate in how he presents arguments.
Outside of the office he has remained active in professional circles. He is the current chair of the Legal Studies Committee of the Virginia Beach Bar Association. Since 2011 he has served on the editorial board of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association Journal, contributing to the discussion around trial practice and legal education. Those roles keep him engaged with peers and the evolving procedural and substantive questions that affect trial lawyers.
Peers and directories have taken note. He holds an AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 rating on Avvo. He uses those assessments as part of how he positions his practice for clients and referring attorneys, while continuing to participate in local bar programs and editorial work.
His day-to-day practice involves courtroom preparation, motion work and appellate filings in the jurisdictions where he is admitted. He maintains a practice serving clients in Virginia, North Carolina and the Fourth Circuit.
