About Edward
Edward Foye built a legal path that began in the liberal arts and moved into the courtroom. He graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in 1978 and later earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1992. Those two institutions bookend a span of years that shaped his analytical and advocacy skills.
After law school, Foye developed a practice that spans trial and appellate work. He is admitted to the Massachusetts bar and to several federal courts, including the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the First and Fourth Circuits. Those admissions have allowed him to handle matters at different levels of the federal system and to appear on behalf of clients in both district and appellate proceedings.
His experience includes courtroom litigation and counseling clients on procedural and substantive issues. Over the years he has taken cases through motion practice, hearings and appeals. He represents individuals and organizations in disputes that require familiarity with federal rules and state law. He also advises on litigation strategy when matters have the potential to move beyond one court or jurisdiction.
Foye serves Of Counsel at Arrowood Peters LLP. In that role he contributes to litigation teams and offers perspective drawn from his years practicing in Massachusetts and before federal courts. The Of Counsel title reflects a senior advisory position that supports the firm’s trial and appellate efforts without implying day-to-day management responsibilities.
He holds current memberships in the Boston Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association. Those memberships connect him to peers across the state and provide channels for continuing legal education and professional engagement. He has participated in local bar activities that keep him engaged with evolving practice rules and court procedures.
Columbia and Boston University remain touchstones in his background, reflecting a mix of liberal arts grounding and formal legal training. The trajectory from an undergraduate degree in 1978 to a law degree in 1992 shows a deliberate course into law rather than a rapid, straight-line entry. That path influenced how he approaches client problems: measured, methodical and attentive to procedural detail.
Now practicing from Arrowood Peters LLP as Of Counsel, he continues to handle litigation and appellate work in Massachusetts and before federal courts. His current practice focuses on litigation and appellate representation in state and federal forums.
