About Ed
Ed Wallis earned his J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2001 after completing a B.S. in Business Administration at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 1997. He arrived in practice with both a business background and a law degree, equipping him for work that often touches state and federal procedure. He has kept ties to the region where he studied and practiced law.
He began his legal career in the federal courthouse, clerking in 2004 for the Honorable S. Thomas Anderson of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. A year later he joined Moss Benton & Wallis, PLLC as an associate, a role that lasted through the mid-2000s. In 2006 he became a partner at Glassman Wyatt Tuttle & Cox, PC, a position he assumed early in his career and one he continues to list among his professional roles.
Wallis is admitted to practice in multiple jurisdictions. His admissions include the states of Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee, and he is also admitted to the federal appellate benches of the 6th and 8th Circuits. He holds admission to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court as well. Those credentials allow him to handle matters that move between state courts and the federal appellate system.
He maintains a steady presence in bar and local legal organizations. He joined the Memphis-Shelby County Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association in 2007 and retains membership in both. He has been a member of the Kentucky Bar Association since 2014 and the Arkansas State Bar since 2015. He is also listed as a member of the American Bar Association. His participation in these groups has been continuous, reflecting an ongoing engagement with professional networks and continuing legal education.
Over the course of his career Wallis has worked at trial and appellate levels and in both state and federal forums. He draws on courtroom experience from his clerkship and later practice. He became a partner at Glassman Wyatt Tuttle & Cox, PC in 2006 and continues his practice there. His practice concentrates on trial and appellate work in both state and federal courts.
