About Dustin A.
Dustin A. Maguire built his legal path steadily, one clerkship and courtroom at a time. He presents a calm, practical presence in family law circles and in mediation rooms. Colleagues describe him as methodical and clear. He began his academic journey with time at Saint Louis University before completing a B.S. at Northern Kentucky University in 2010 and earning his J.D. from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 2014.
Those early years in law school were followed by hands-on experience in federal and private settings. In 2012 he worked as a judicial law clerk for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. That role exposed him to a broad range of civil and procedural matters and gave him regular contact with judges and courtroom practice. He spent 2013 as a law clerk at Cetrulo, Mowery & Hicks, where he assisted on research and case preparation for litigation matters. Each position added a layer of familiarity with court processes and client strategy.
In 2015 Maguire joined The Center for Family Law as a lawyer and mediator. He has handled matters typical to family law practice: divorce proceedings, custody and parenting time disputes, support issues, and settlement negotiations. As a mediator, he works to steer parties toward negotiated resolutions while explaining legal options and likely outcomes. His dual role means he moves between advocacy and dispute resolution depending on what a case requires.
He holds memberships in regional bar organizations. Maguire is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, a relationship that dates to 2014. He also belongs to the Alton-Wood River Bar Association, joining that local group in 2015 and maintaining membership since. These affiliations keep him connected to practice developments, local judges, and fellow attorneys in the region.
Maguire’s practice reflects his procedural background and his experience in mediation. He is known for dissecting complex schedules, parenting plans, and financial details so clients can make clear decisions. He maintains his practice at The Center for Family Law and continues to handle litigation and mediated settlements in family law matters.
He currently practices family law and mediation at The Center for Family Law.
