About Drew S.
Drew S. Richman has built a practice that moves between contested proceedings and negotiated settlements. He earned his J.D. from St. Mary s University School of Law in 1996 and has practiced law across state and federal lines since then.
Early in his career he served of counsel at The Cartall Law Office beginning in 2002. He became a partner at Martin, Cukjati & Richman, LLP in 2004, a role that placed him squarely in courtroom litigation and case management. In 2010 he opened The Richman Law Office, PLLC as a lawyer-owner. In 2019 he reorganized his practice as Drew S. Richman, PLLC and expanded his work as a mediator alongside his litigation practice.
Richman is licensed to practice in Texas and Colorado and holds admission in the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Those jurisdictions reflect a practice that has handled both state-level family law matters and federal filings where appellate admission was required.
His memberships signal the area of law in which he has concentrated. He is a current member of the Southwestern Colorado Bar Association and of Colorado Collaborate Divorce Professionals. He has been active with the Boulder IDC on Child Custody and Divorce since 2011 and belongs to the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, also since 2011. Since 2010 he has held membership in the Colorado Bar Association, Family Law Section and the Boulder County Bar Association. Those affiliations point to sustained involvement in family law, custody work and alternative dispute resolution.
Colleagues describe his work as practical and case-focused. He has combined traditional advocacy with settlement processes, serving clients both inside a courtroom and at a mediation table. His mediator role reflects regular work on divorce-related negotiations and custody arrangements. The firm structure he maintains allows him to accept matters that require litigation and those better suited to collaborative or mediated solutions.
He maintains an office under the name Drew S. Richman, PLLC and practices as a lawyer and mediator. He currently focuses his practice on family law matters, including divorce and child custody, and on mediation of family and civil disputes.
