Throughout his career, Mr. Saeltzer has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of San Francisco, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to joining Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger in 1998, he served as a prosecutor in the United States Army Judge Advocate General Corps, where he was honorably discharged at the rank of Captain. His military achievements include receiving the Meritorious Service Medal for his work as a prosecuting attorney.

Mr. Saeltzer is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association for Justice, the Consumer Attorneys of California, and the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association. He was elected to membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) in 2010. He has been continuously selected as a Northern California Super Lawyer since 2010 and was honored as the "Trial Lawyer of the Year" by the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association in 2011.
