About Douglas

Douglas McCormick earned his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University in 2000 and went on to receive a J.D. from Washington University School of Law in 2004. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and has built his career in that jurisdiction.

His time at Bucknell gave him a broad undergraduate foundation before he turned to the study of law. At Washington University School of Law he completed his legal education in 2004. Those years set the stage for his professional work and offered training in core areas of law and legal practice.

After law school McCormick began practicing in Pennsylvania. Over the years he has worked in private practice settings and in roles that required both client advising and courtroom work. He has remained active in the state where he is licensed and has focused his professional life on serving clients within that legal system.

Colleagues describe his approach to cases as steady and detail-oriented. He is methodical in preparing filings and attentive in client meetings. He balances written advocacy with in-person representation, and he aims to bring clarity to matters that can otherwise be technical and complex.

Outside of casework, McCormick has maintained ties to the legal community. He belongs to professional circles that keep practitioners current on changes in law and procedure. Those connections have informed his practice and helped him manage cases that require coordination with other professionals.

McCormick’s work has involved a mix of client types. He has represented individuals and entities in matters that arise under Pennsylvania law. The scope of his practice reflects the kinds of legal issues commonly handled in the state’s courts and administrative forums.

He is based at McCormick & Vilushis, LLC. There he continues to represent clients across Pennsylvania and to handle matters that require both litigation and counseling skills. He currently practices at McCormick & Vilushis, LLC, handling matters across Pennsylvania.
