Douglas M. Nelson earned his undergraduate degree in political science and history from the University of Delaware in 2007. He attended The Pennington School, finishing in 2004, and later completed his legal education at Seton Hall University School of Law, receiving a J.D. in 2011. Those years set a steady course toward a dual-state legal practice.
He entered the profession in the early 2010s and joined Capehart Scatchard, P.A. as a lawyer in 2013. That role provided courtroom exposure and client work across a variety of civil matters. Four years later he took on a leadership position and became a partner at Moustakas Nelson LLC in 2017.
