About Douglas
Douglas Edmunds built his career at the intersection of finance, operations and the law. He began in Arizona as an undergraduate studying finance at Arizona State University, earning a B.S. in 2002. He went on to the University of New Hampshire School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 2005 and moved quickly into practice.
His early legal work included time as a legal assistant in 2003 at Solomon Professional Association and a law clerk and associate role at Winsor Law Office, PLC in 2005. That same year he established The Law Office of Douglas G. Edmunds, PLC. For a period he stepped into corporate management, taking on chief financial and operating officer roles at Stone Security, LLC and Stone Alarm, LLC in 2006. Those positions seeded a style of practice that blends business sensibilities with legal problem solving.
By 2009 Edmunds returned to firm-based practice as a lawyer at Buck Law Office, PLC and the following year became a partner at Buck Edmunds, PLC. He has also maintained an academic presence. Since 2009 he has taught at the University of Phoenix, balancing classroom responsibilities with private practice. The mix of teaching and practice keeps him engaged with both evolving legal issues and the next generation of professionals.
His work cuts across business-related legal matters and practical litigation. Clients have turned to him for issues that call for both legal analysis and an understanding of finance and operations. Cases and matters he has handled reflect that combination. He is admitted to practice in Arizona and has built a practice that serves local businesses and individuals.
Colleagues describe him as methodical and pragmatic. He tends to approach problems by breaking them into parts. That approach is visible whether he is drafting contracts, advising on corporate governance or handling disputes in state courts. Classroom work informs his practice and practice work feeds the classes he teaches.
Today he runs The Law Office of Douglas G. Edmunds, PLC. He continues to teach and to accept matters in Arizona, concentrating on business and corporate matters, contract disputes and related litigation. His current practice focuses on serving business clients and individuals in Arizona on commercial and dispute-resolution matters.
