About Donald A.
Donald A. Kurasch has practiced law in Illinois for more than five decades. He began his legal training in the 1960s and completed his law degree at the University of Illinois College of Law in 1972 after earning a Bachelor of Arts from Grinnell College in 1967. Those academic years set the stage for a long career in trial work.
Fresh out of law school he joined what became Kurasch & Klein. He is listed as owner and partner beginning in 1972. Over the years his name has remained attached to that firm, and he has continued to handle matters in Illinois courts. His practice has its roots in courtroom work and civil litigation.
He is an active member of several professional groups. He belongs to the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. He also maintains memberships in national organizations, including the American Bar Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association, and he is associated with the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. Those affiliations reflect sustained involvement in the legal community rather than brief participation.
