About Domingo
Domingo Soto earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1983. He completed his legal education in Tuscaloosa at a time when the state’s legal community was changing. The degree set the stage for a steady career in courtrooms and client conferences.
Early in his career Soto moved into private practice and built experience handling matters that required appearances in both state and federal settings. He is admitted to practice in Alabama and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Those admissions have shaped the kinds of matters he accepts and the venues where he argues cases.
Over the years Soto has balanced courtroom work with the day-to-day demands of advising clients. He has handled litigation, filings and the procedural work that keeps a case moving. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing court papers and attentive when meeting witnesses and clients.
Soto has maintained a local presence through an office on Dauphin Street. That locale has been a base for consultations, hearings and client meetings. The street-level office reflects a practice that combines in-person client work with appearances before judges and clerks across the state.
He is a principal at Madden and Soto Lawyers, where he works alongside other attorneys managing case dockets and client intake. The firm handles a range of matters that require careful attention to procedure and timing. Soto’s role there involves both direct advocacy and managing the logistics of litigation.
Outside the courtroom Soto has kept up with changes in federal and state rules that affect practice in the Eleventh Circuit and Alabama courts. He pays close attention to appellate deadlines and local filing requirements. He currently practices in Alabama and before the Eleventh Circuit from offices including 465 Dauphin St and Madden and Soto Lawyers, handling matters that arise at both the trial and appellate levels.
