About Dina
Dina Steele trained first as a philosopher. She earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Arkansas State University in 1994. She went on to law school at Southern Methodist University and received her J.D. in 1997. Years later she added a Mediation Certificate from the University of North Texas in 2014, reflecting an interest in alternative dispute resolution alongside courtroom work.
Her legal career began in private practice the year she finished law school. She joined Orgain, Bell & Tucker as an associate in 1997. In 2001 she moved to Noteboom & Parker, and then to John M. Cox & Associates in 2003. In 2006 she started her own firm, Steele Law, P.C., and has managed that practice since then.
Over time Steele accumulated experience on both sides of contested matters. Early memberships include the Texas Association of Defense Counsel and the Jefferson County Bar Association. She later spent time with Tarrant County Trial Lawyers and the Dallas Bar Association. Her bar memberships extend to the federal level as well, where she holds memberships in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Northern Districts of Texas.
Her mediation certificate and service with the Denton County Alternative Dispute Program inform how she handles cases. Clients see a lawyer who moves between negotiation, mediation and trial work depending on what a case requires. She has been active in family law circles through the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section while also maintaining ties to several trial lawyer organizations.
Beyond the courtroom, Steele has taken on community and administrative roles. She has served as secretary of the Lakepointe Office Park Board of Directors since 2011. She has held memberships in the Denton County Bar Association and the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, among others. Those memberships reflect a practice that mixes litigation, dispute resolution and participation in local legal institutions.
Steele is licensed to practice law in Texas and operates Steele Law, P.C. from her office. Her current practice blends family law, civil litigation and mediated dispute resolution, and she continues to represent clients in state and federal matters while maintaining an active role in local bar organizations.
