About Cynthia
Cynthia Palmer earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Texas A&M University in 1999 before heading to South Texas College of Law, where she received her J.D. in 2002. While in law school she was an active member of the Christian Legal Society. Her academic record pairs a communication background with legal training, a combination she has drawn on throughout her career.
After law school Palmer began practicing in Texas. She is licensed to practice in the state and has built a career concentrated on family law. Over time she sought and obtained board certification in Family Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a credential that signals an attorney has met testing and experience standards specific to family law matters.
Palmer’s professional activity extends beyond courtroom work. Since 2008 she has been involved with the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, serving on the Barristers for Babies Committee. That long-term committee role reflects sustained engagement with local bar activities and community-oriented legal programs. Her work in that arena has included event organization and outreach efforts tied to family-related services.
In practice she handles the kinds of legal disputes commonly associated with family law. Those matters include divorce proceedings, child custody and visitation arrangements, and related financial issues. She represents clients in negotiations and contested hearings, and has experience preparing cases for trial when settlement is not possible.
Clients describe her as practical and straightforward. She emphasizes clear communication and tries to set realistic expectations about process and timing. She works with parents, individuals dividing assets, and those seeking modifications to existing orders. Her background in speech communication has informed her approach to client counseling and courtroom presentation.
Palmer maintains an active practice in Texas. She continues her involvement in local bar initiatives while representing clients in family law matters across the state. Her current practice focuses on family law, including divorce, custody, and support issues.
