About Dennis N.
Dennis N. Urbano earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 1976 after completing a Bachelor of Arts at Temple University in 1972. He entered the bar the same year he graduated from law school. His academic background placed him in courts across Florida and beyond when he began his legal career in the mid-1970s.
He is admitted to practice in Florida and in several federal and appellate forums. Those admissions include the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the 11th Circuit, the 5th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. That range of admissions has allowed him to take cases from trial courts to the nation’s highest tribunal.
Urbano has served as a partner in firms bearing the Greenberg name. He is listed as a partner at Greenberg Ramón-Alonso & Urbano and has been associated with Greenberg, Stone & Urbano. In those roles he has shared leadership responsibilities, managed litigation teams, and represented clients in complex proceedings. Colleagues and opposing counsel have known him as a steady presence in courtroom work and case preparation.
His practice spans both trial and appellate work. He appears in state and federal court and handles appeals in circuit and federal appellate courts. Cases he handles require motion practice, evidentiary hearings, and courtroom argument. He spends substantial time preparing records and briefs when a dispute proceeds beyond the trial level.
Urbano maintains memberships in a number of legal organizations. He has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1976. He also belongs to the Florida Justice Association, the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association, and the Dade County Bar Association. Those memberships keep him connected to developments in procedure, evidence, and appellate practice.
Across five decades of practice he has navigated changes in federal and state court procedures and shifts in appellate jurisprudence. He has worked on cases at each phase of litigation and has practiced law in Miami’s legal community for many years. He brings that long experience to daily client work and courtroom appearances.
He currently practices at Greenberg Ramón-Alonso & Urbano, handling litigation in state and federal courts and appellate matters.
