About Dennis E.
Dennis E. Sawan built his academic foundation at Indiana University Bloomington, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 2009. He went on to the University of Toledo and completed his Juris Doctor in 2013. Those years shaped a practical approach to the law and a familiarity with both Midwestern and national legal issues.
After law school, Sawan entered private practice and established himself in firms that handled a range of civil matters. He is admitted to practice in both Florida and Ohio, and he has worked cases that cross state lines. Colleagues describe him as methodical. He prefers clear briefs and orderly preparation over theatrical litigation.
Sawan’s career has combined courtroom work and case development. He has experience handling contested hearings and negotiating settlements. He works through evidence and municipal filings with an eye for detail. That steadiness matters in matters that hinge on deadlines and factual records.
At the same time, Sawan has been involved in the operational side of running a law office. He has participated in case intake systems and supervised teams on complex files. Those responsibilities have given him a view of how firms allocate resources and how to keep clients informed as matters progress.
Today he practices at Sawan & Sawan. The firm handles matters in both Florida and Ohio and serves clients who need representation across those jurisdictions. Sawan’s approach remains procedural and pragmatic. He prepares cases to be resolved at the table or tried in court, depending on what the facts and law require.
Outside the office he keeps an eye on developments in state rules and appellate decisions that affect litigation strategy. He also places emphasis on communicating outcomes and options clearly to clients so they can make informed choices. He currently practices at Sawan & Sawan and focuses his work on serving clients in matters that span Florida and Ohio.
