Denise Pereira is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2006. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Pereira is the founder of Pereira Law, a law firm located in Stockton, California. She has been practicing law for over 20 years, serving clients throughout San Joaquin County and the surrounding areas.
Ms. Pereira earned her Juris Doctor degree from the McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific, graduating in 2005. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at Chapman University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2002. During her time at McGeorge, she was involved in various legal clinics and externships, gaining practical experience in criminal defense and personal injury law.
Ms. Pereira concentrates her practice in the areas of personal injury, criminal defense, DUI, wrongful death, police brutality, and civil rights. She represents individuals in matters involving workplace discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and premises liability claims. Her practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout her career, Ms. Pereira has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of San Joaquin, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as an associate at the San Joaquin County Public Defender's Office for over 14 years, handling a wide range of criminal cases from misdemeanors to serious felonies.
Ms. Pereira is an active member of several professional organizations, including the California DUI Lawyers Association, the California Lawyers for Criminal Justice, the San Joaquin County Bar Association, the Capital City Trial Lawyers Association, the Consumer Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, the California Public Defenders Association, the Judge Consuelo M.
