About Degen
Degen Clow earned a Bachelor of Science in Cardio-Pulmonary Care from the University of Arkansas in 2011 and completed his law degree at the William H. Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2013. His academic path moved from clinical health care into law in a short span, setting up an uncommon combination of clinical and legal training.
His early professional life began in health care. He worked as a respiratory therapist at Chambers Memorial Hospital in 2007 and as a registered respiratory therapist at Baptist Health Medical Center in 2008. Those years in patient care preceded his law school clinical experiences and first positions in legal practice.
While in law school and shortly after graduation, Clow held several clerk and extern positions that exposed him to both defense and regulatory work. In 2013 he served as a legal extern with the Federal Public Defender’s Office and held law clerk roles with the Arkansas Securities Department and a Prosecuting Lawyer’s Office. Those roles gave him courtroom exposure and hands-on experience with complex, government-side matters.
After bar admission, he moved into public prosecution. In 2014 he served as a deputy prosecuting lawyer at the Pulaski County Prosecuting Lawyer’s Office. The following year he joined WH Law as managing partner, a role he held while building his trial practice. In 2022 he became a senior trial lawyer at Clow Law, where he continues to handle litigation matters.
Clow has pursued additional courtroom training. He completed a program through the Trial Lawyers College for federal trial lawyers, a credential intended to sharpen trial techniques in federal court. His admissions include the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, the Eighth Circuit, the District of Columbia, and the Arkansas state courts.
Professional memberships track his movement through the bar and trial community. He has been a member of the Arkansas State Bar and the Arkansas Bar Association since 2014. Since 2015 he has been listed with the Arkansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Those affiliations reflect work on both prosecutorial and defense sides of criminal litigation.
Clow’s career blends courtroom roles, regulatory work and a background in clinical care that he has carried into his legal practice. He currently practices at Clow Law, handling federal and state trial litigation matters, including criminal defense and related litigation work.
