About Deborah
Deborah Morris began her academic path at Morningside College, where she completed a degree in business and accounting in 1995. She returned to formal study two decades later and earned her J.D. from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2016. Those two degrees frame a career that links legal training to familiarity with financial records and business practices.
After law school, Morris joined Rosenbaum Law Office as an associate in 2017. She spent that early period building courtroom experience and practicing in the day-to-day work of a small firm. In 2019 she opened Morris Malloy Law, PLLC, practicing as a lawyer and managing a smaller practice. That step allowed her to handle cases and client work with greater autonomy.
In 2023 Morris moved into a partnership role at Tigges, Bottaro & Lessmann, LLP. The title of partner followed several years of private practice. Her professional record shows steady progression through associate and solo practice to partnership in a regional firm.
Morris holds a Mediation and Arbitration Certification from the Illinois State Bar Association. She has been a member of the State Bar of South Dakota since 2017. She is admitted to practice in Iowa. Those credentials align with the procedural and alternative dispute resolution work she has pursued since receiving her law degree.
