Deborah Lynne Dubroff is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1996. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Dubroff is a partner at Dubroff, Easley & Lovell, LLP, a law firm located in Oakland, California. She has been practicing law for over 29 years, serving clients throughout the greater Oakland area and surrounding counties in Northern California.
Ms. Dubroff earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Davis, School of Law, where she graduated in 1996. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications in 1985. During her time at UC Davis, she participated extensively in the Humanitarian Aid Legal Organization, Trial Practice Honor Board, and Law Student Association. A highlight of her law school experience was her advocacy for victims of domestic violence through the UC Davis Family Protection and Legal Assistance Clinic, which solidified her passion for family law.
Ms. Dubroff concentrates her practice in the area of family law, focusing on mediation consultation and coaching, premarital agreements, appeals, and litigation. She represents individuals and families in matters involving divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, and domestic violence. Her practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts. Throughout her career, Ms. Dubroff has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Alameda, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Oakland for several years. She is active in the following organizations: Association of Certified Family Law Specialists; Alameda County Family Law Association (current board member, past Chair, past Treasurer); Alameda County, Contra Costa County, and California Bar Association Family Law Sections. She also volunteers in the Alameda County Superior Court as a Family Law Settlement Referee, helping to settle complex cases that are on the verge of trial.
Ms. Dubroff is an active member of the Alameda County Family Law Association and the California State Bar Association. She holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Family Law. She is also a certified mediator through the Alameda County Superior Court mediation program.
