About Deana
Deana Bell earned a bachelor’s degree in legal studies from the University of Central Florida before moving on to Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, where she received her J.D. in 2006. She completed law school as the mid-2000s legal landscape in Florida was shifting, and she entered practice at a time when courtroom experience mattered. That early training shaped how she approaches cases.
Her first post-law school role was at the Brevard County Public Defender’s Office in 2006. There she worked on behalf of clients facing criminal charges. The public defender environment exposed her to speedy dockets, client interviews, and trial preparation. It also provided repeated courtroom time early in her career.
By 2007 she was listed as a lawyer at Deana Cooper Bell, P.A. That move marked the transition from government work to private practice.
