Dawn L. Jackson is an attorney specializing in criminal and employment law, with over two decades of experience. Admitted to practice in both New Jersey and the District of Columbia, she operates her primary office at 897 McBride Avenue, West Paterson, NJ 07424. In 1997, she made history by becoming the first African-American woman prosecutor in the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office. This groundbreaking role not only marked a significant milestone in her career but also paved the way for future generations of attorneys. In criminal law, she has represented clients facing various offenses, from misdemeanors to serious felonies, showcasing her versatility and dedication to justice.

She serves as the General Counsel for the Central Jersey Chapter of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), where she contributes her legal expertise to support law enforcement initiatives. Additionally, she founded the "Run Sister Run" program at the Center for American Women in Politics, which is designed to encourage African American women to engage in the political arena.
