David W Fineman built a foundation in legal studies and criminal justice before turning to the practice of law. He earned a B.S. in Legal Studies and Criminal Justice from Florida Gulf Coast University and went on to receive his J.D. from Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in 2007. Those years set the stage for work in state and federal courts across Florida.
He was admitted to the Florida bar in 2007 and holds admissions in several federal forums. Those include the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. The combination of state and federal credentials allowed him to take clients into trial courts and appellate settings.
Fineman began his legal career the year he graduated from law school, joining Wotitzky, Wotitzky & Ross, P.A. as a lawyer in 2007. A year later he moved to The Dellutri Law Group, PA, where he is listed as Partner/Lawyer beginning in 2008. After more than a decade of practice in Southwest Florida, he became a partner at F&L Law Group, P.A. in 2023. His career trajectory tracks steady movement from associate roles into firm leadership.
Professional involvement has been a constant. He holds current ties to the American Board of Certification and maintains membership in the American Bankruptcy Institute. He has been a member of the Southwest Florida Bankruptcy Bar Association since 2008 and has maintained his Florida State Bar membership since 2007. Those affiliations place him among peers who concentrate on bankruptcy and creditor-debtor law in the region.
Work on bankruptcy matters, creditor-debtor disputes and related litigation has formed a core part of his practice. He handles matters that require appearances in both federal district courts and appellate court when necessary. Casework has included the day-to-day management of filings and courtroom appearances as well as counseling clients on the practical consequences of bankruptcy options.
Since joining F&L Law Group, P.A. as a partner in 2023, Fineman has continued to practice in the areas of bankruptcy and creditor-debtor law. He represents clients in state and federal proceedings and remains active in local and national bankruptcy organizations. He currently practices at F&L Law Group, P.A., where his work centers on bankruptcy and creditor-debtor matters.
