About David T
David T Leake built his legal foundation in Pennsylvania. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Mercyhurst College in 2010, completing a dual major in political science and philosophy. He then attended Duquesne University School of Law and received his J.D. in 2014.
After law school, Leake joined the Somerset Court of Common Pleas as a judicial law clerk in 2014. The clerkship put him inside the courtroom schedule and behind the bench on procedural and substantive matters. He spent that year handling research, drafting opinions and assisting with the court’s caseload. The experience gave him an early, close view of how state court litigation unfolds.
In 2015 he moved into private practice as an associate at the Law Office of Joseph B. Policicchio. That role expanded his hands-on work with clients and files. He worked on pleadings, client interviews and pretrial preparation. Two years later he opened his own practice. In 2017 he became the owner of the Law Office of David T. Leake, Esq., establishing a solo office to take cases directly for clients.
Leake holds membership in the Somerset County Bar Association and participates in local bar activities. He has maintained ties to the local bench and bar since his clerkship days. Colleagues and court staff have noted his steady presence in county practice over the years. He has handled matters arising in Pennsylvania courts at various stages, drawing on his clerkship and associate experience when preparing cases.
Today Leake operates a private practice in Pennsylvania. He represents clients in state court matters and manages the day-to-day needs of a small firm. His practice draws on the procedural insight he gained as a clerk and the client-facing experience from his years as an associate. He continues to appear in Pennsylvania courts on behalf of clients and handles intake, case strategy and litigation tasks through his office. His current practice focuses on representing clients in Pennsylvania state courts.
