About David
David Lilenfeld built his legal foundation at Hunter College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in 1993, and then at Ohio State University, where he completed his Juris Doctor in 1996. Those years framed an early interest in courtroom work and appellate procedure, directions that would shape his later practice.
After law school he moved into private practice and court work in Georgia. Over time he developed experience handling filings in state courts and appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He established a practice pattern that combined trial-level representation with appellate briefing and argument.
In 2005 he founded Lilenfeld PC and took on the role of managing partner. He has led the firm since then, overseeing case intake, strategy, and client communication. The firm operates from its Georgia office and pursues matters that require both trial advocacy and appellate review.
Colleagues describe him as deliberate in his preparation. He is known for methodical legal writing and an attention to procedural detail. That work often appears in briefs and motions where clarity and timing matter. In court he favors direct presentation and measured argument.
His admissions include the State of Georgia and the Eleventh Circuit. That combination allows him to handle matters beginning in Georgia trial courts and continuing through federal appellate review when necessary. He has represented clients at multiple stages of litigation and managed transitions between trial and appellate practitioners when a case requires it.
Outside the courtroom he has handled the administrative duties of running a small firm. Those tasks include supervision of associates and managing the business side of practice. He has balanced casework with firm leadership since founding Lilenfeld PC.
As of 2026 he continues to lead Lilenfeld PC and represents clients in matters in Georgia and in filings before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. His current practice concentrates on litigation that can require both trial advocacy and appellate handling.
