About David G.
David G. Parker earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, where he studied microbiology and chemistry and received a B.S. He went on to law school at Washington and Lee University School of Law, obtaining his J.D. in 2008. Those years combined a scientific background with formal legal training, a combination that shaped his approach to evidence and case analysis.
He began his legal career in Virginia almost immediately after leaving law school. In 2008 he joined the Wythe County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office as an assistant. The early years were spent learning the rhythms of courtroom practice. He handled routine motions, prepared witnesses, and took part in trials under the supervision of experienced prosecutors.
In 2012 Parker moved to Hanover County, taking a role as an assistant in that Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office. He was promoted to senior assistant in 2016. In those positions he carried increased responsibility for felony prosecutions and case management. He worked on matters that required coordination with law enforcement, victim-witness services, and county courts. The record in public office reflects steady advancement through prosecutorial ranks rather than a single high-profile cause.
After more than a decade in public service, Parker transitioned to private practice. In 2023 he established David G. Parker Law, PLLC and assumed ownership. The change moved him from a government office to the demands of a small firm: client intake, litigation strategy, and the administrative duties of running a practice. He has continued to appear in Virginia state courts, applying experience from his years as a prosecutor to represent and advise clients.
Observers of his career will note a straight line from scientific study to courtroom practice and then to private practice ownership. He practices law in Virginia and handles matters that arise in state and local courts. His current work at David G. Parker Law, PLLC focuses on legal matters in Virginia state courts.
