About David
David Dwork began his legal formation on Long Island, earning a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1973. He went on to receive his J.D. from Boston University in 1977. Those two degrees set the stage for a career that has moved through courthouse corridors, nonprofit leadership, and private practice.
After law school, Dwork spent a year clerking for the Honorable Frank J. Kennison, Chief Justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court. He then served as a teaching fellow at Boston College Law School in 1979. The following year he took on the role of Assistant District Lawyer in Middlesex County, gaining courtroom experience early in his career.
By 1981 he joined Barron Stadfeld as a civil litigation lawyer. He remained with the firm as it evolved, becoming a partner in 1985 at Barron Stadfeld P.C. Those years in private practice deepened his litigation skills and exposed him to a range of civil matters. In 1991 he accepted leadership responsibilities outside the firm and became president of the Massachusetts Brain Injury Association, a role that connected his litigation background with the concerns of clients and families affected by brain injury.
Dwork has maintained active membership in organizations tied to trial work and brain injury advocacy. He belongs to the National Brain Injury Association and the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts. He is listed as a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association litigation group and serves on the Board of Governors of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers. He has remained engaged in the governance and policy conversations that shape trial practice in the state.
In 2012 he founded The Law Office of David Dwork, establishing a solo practice after decades in larger firm settings. The office reflects a return to direct client work and courtroom practice. His background includes public-sector experience, appellate exposure from his clerkship, teaching, nonprofit leadership, and long-standing work in civil litigation.
Dwork is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts. He handles cases that involve civil litigation and brain injury issues, drawing on decades of courtroom experience and organizational leadership. He currently concentrates his practice on civil litigation and brain injury matters.
