About David Craig

David Craig Allred built a legal career that links business training to courtroom practice. He earned a J.D. from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in 2004. Before that he completed an MBA at Auburn University at Montgomery in 2000 and a B.B.A. at Belmont University in 1998. The sequence of degrees shaped both his approach to client problems and his movements between private practice roles.

He began practicing law soon after earning his J.D. and served as a shareholder at Allred & Allred, P.C. beginning in 2004. That role placed him in management as well as advocacy. He handled client matters, supervised aspects of firm operations and litigated where necessary. Over time his career included admissions to multiple federal courts. He is admitted to practice in Alabama and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama.

In 2023 he took on an of-counsel role at Hill, Hill, Carter, Franco, Cole & Black, P.C. The position added a new layer to his practice, allowing him to collaborate on cases and contribute experience gained during years as a firm shareholder. Colleagues describe his move as bringing an experienced trial lawyer into a larger practice environment. He continued to handle client representation while also advising on strategy and case development.

Allred’s academic background in business and law informs his day-to-day work. The MBA gives him a perspective on client operations and financial issues that can shape dispute resolution or settlement decisions. His legal training from Faulkner University supplied the litigation skills he used in state and federal courts. Across both spheres he has balanced client counseling, courtroom advocacy and the administrative demands of private practice.

He has practiced through changing legal landscapes and maintained admissions in the state and three federal districts of Alabama. That standing allows him to present cases at multiple levels and to coordinate litigation that crosses jurisdictions. He brings experience in firm leadership and in collaborative practice settings.

He currently serves as of counsel at Hill, Hill, Carter, Franco, Cole & Black, P.C., handling matters in Alabama and the federal districts where he is admitted.
