About David Chandler
David Chandler Hamel combined study in political science, law and business before setting out in private practice. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from Oklahoma State University–Stillwater. He went on to complete a Juris Doctor at Oklahoma City University School of Law and later added an MBA from Oklahoma City University. Those three degrees inform how he approaches both courtroom work and client counseling.
His legal career has been centered in Oklahoma. He is admitted to practice in the state and is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma. Over time he established his own firm, Hamel Law Office PLLC, where he handles matters that arise in both state and federal settings. He built the practice to address the practical and procedural needs he saw in clients’ cases.
Hamels’s education in business and law gives him a dual perspective. He works on matters that require assessment of legal risk alongside business consequences. He represents individuals and companies on issues that involve litigation, regulatory questions, and transactional decisions. He regularly prepares filings, negotiates for clients, and appears in court when matters proceed to hearing.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing a case and clear when explaining legal options to clients. He tends to break down complex legal concepts into straightforward terms. That approach helps clients understand possible outcomes and the steps involved in pursuing a claim or defending against one.
At Hamel Law Office PLLC he manages case strategy and client relationships. The office handles state-court matters and litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma. The firm accepts files across a range of civil matters and aims to align legal work with clients’ practical business needs.
He currently focuses on representing clients in Oklahoma state and federal matters where legal and business issues intersect.
