About David
David Brauns took a path that began with literature and led to the law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Clemson University in 1994 and later returned to school for a law degree, receiving his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in 2005. That mix of humanities and legal training surfaces in the way he frames arguments and writes for the court.
After finishing law school, Brauns entered private practice and held early positions at established Georgia firms. Records show he worked as an associate at Hall, Booth, Smith & Slover in 2004 and at Fain, Major & Brennan in 2006. In 2008 he opened his own practice, founding Brauns Law, PC, where he has practiced since. Those years in firm settings provided the routines and courtroom exposure that shaped his approach to running a small firm.
His bar admissions reflect a practice that includes both trial and appellate work. He is admitted to practice before the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court, and he is also admitted in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. He maintains memberships in the Georgia State Bar Association and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and he participates in the Forsyth County Bar Association.
Colleagues and former coworkers describe Brauns as someone who prefers clear, direct legal writing and careful preparation for court. He has applied those habits across matters that come before state appellate courts and in federal district court. Those procedural settings require attention to detail and an ability to distill complex records into usable arguments. His background in English has informed that work, particularly the drafting of briefs and motions.
Running his own firm has also put administrative responsibilities on his desk. As the founding lawyer at Brauns Law, PC, he manages client intake, case strategy, and the daily operations of a practice that litigates in state and federal forums. The office handles filings, hearings, and appeals, and it works with local counsel when cases require additional resources.
Brauns remains active in local and state legal organizations and continues to appear in Georgia state courts and in the federal district court in Atlanta. He currently practices through Brauns Law, PC, representing clients in matters brought before Georgia appellate courts and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
