David Abraham Pomeranz is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1996. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Pomeranz is the principal attorney at the Law Offices of David A. Pomeranz, located at 270 East Douglas Avenue, El Cajon, California. He has been practicing law for over 30 years, serving clients throughout San Diego County and the surrounding areas.
Mr. Pomeranz earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, graduating in 1995. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at San Diego State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion in 1991. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, obtained in 1993. During his time at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, he was actively involved in various legal clinics and internships, gaining practical experience in family law and related fields.
Mr. Pomeranz concentrates his practice in the areas of family law and consumer bankruptcy. He represents individuals and families in matters involving divorce, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, paternity, domestic violence, and related issues. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts. He also provides legal counseling and representation in consumer bankruptcy cases, assisting clients with Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 filings.
Throughout his career, Mr. Pomeranz has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of San Diego, the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in San Diego for five years, gaining extensive experience in family law and bankruptcy matters.
Mr. Pomeranz is an active member of the State Bar of California and the San Diego County Bar Association. He holds membership in the American Bar Association and the California Bankruptcy Forum.
