David A. Wilson built a legal foundation in the Carolinas. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management from Clemson University in 1985 and went on to receive his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1992. Those years set the stage for a steady legal career that has stayed rooted in South Carolina.
Fresh out of law school, Wilson served as a judicial law clerk to The Honorable Henry Floyd in the South Carolina Judicial Department in 1992. The clerkship gave him a close view of courtroom procedure and judicial decision-making. A year later he joined Horton, Drawdy, Ward, Mullinax & Farry, P.A. as a partner, a move that placed him in private practice and into sustained client work.
He spent nearly two decades at the firm level before establishing his own practice. In 2012 he became the owner of The Law Offices of David A. Wilson, LLC. Running a small firm shifted his day-to-day toward managing cases, supervising staff, and handling the business side of a legal practice. Those responsibilities sit alongside the client-facing work he continues to do.
Wilson has maintained active ties to the local legal community. He has been a member of the Greenville County Bar Association since 1993 and holds other long-standing bar memberships dating back to the early 1990s. Those connections reflect a career spent practicing inside the state’s legal system rather than moving into large national firms or public office.
Peers and clients most often encounter him in state courts. Over the years he has handled a range of matters that require courtroom experience, negotiation, and case management.
