About Daniel S.

Daniel S. Garner builds practice on steady steps. He studied economics at the University of Utah, earning a bachelor’s degree before turning to law. He completed his Juris Doctor at Texas Tech University School of Law in 2013 and moved quickly into courtroom and office life in Utah.

His early legal work came as an associate at Kipp and Christian in 2014. That year introduced him to client intake, motion practice and the pace of a small law firm. He left that position within a year to start his own firm. In 2015 he opened Garner Law, taking on the responsibilities of sole practitioner and business owner. The move gave him direct control over case selection and firm administration.

Garner expanded his practice footprint in 2017 when he co-founded White and Garner. That partnership altered the firm’s structure and brought additional resources and colleagues into the office. He remained active in the practice during that period and continued to shape how the firm handled cases. In 2023 he launched The Garner Law Office, the current iteration of his practice. Each step reflects a pattern of building and restructuring in response to the work he saw and the clients he served.

Education and early training informed his approach. An undergraduate degree in economics contributes to how he analyzes complex factual and financial issues. Legal training at Texas Tech provided the doctrinal and procedural grounding that he has applied in litigation and client counseling. The combination of economics and law has influenced how he reads contracts and evaluates damages, and it has guided choices about which matters to accept.

Colleagues and clients have experienced Garner as an attorney who prefers to handle both the substantive law and the business side of practice. He has moved between solo practice and partnership arrangements, so he understands how firm structure affects client service and workflows. That experience informs how he staffs matters and allocates resources at The Garner Law Office.

He maintains an active practice in Utah. His current work is conducted from The Garner Law Office and centers on legal matters arising in that jurisdiction.
