About Daniel
Daniel S — Margolin is a family law attorney based in Portland, Oregon. He has been practicing law in Oregon since 2002, focusing on family law, including divorce, child custody, and family law appeals. After earning his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law in 2002, Daniel clerked for the Oregon Court of Appeals under the Honorable Rex Armstrong. He then co-founded Stephens & Margolin LLP, a firm dedicated to family law, in 2008.
In 2021, he established Margolin Family Law, continuing his commitment to family law practice. Daniel's practice encompasses all aspects of family law litigation, including divorce, child custody, and family law appeals. He has argued cases before both the Oregon Court of Appeals and the Oregon Supreme Court. His firm, Margolin Family Law, is located at 4850 SW Scholls Ferry Road, Suite 302, Portland, OR 97225.
In addition to his legal practice, Daniel is actively involved in legal education. He frequently presents at local and national Continuing Legal Education seminars, including the Oregon Family Law Annual Seminar. Daniel is a member of the Oregon State Bar, the American Bar Association’s Family Law Section, and the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association.
He has been recognized by peers and was selected to Super Lawyers for 2013 - 2025. In his personal time, Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, reading science fiction, cooking, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.
