About Daniel J.
Daniel J. Reynolds took a direct route into the law. He earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2013 after beginning law study in 2010. The record of his early work shows a lawyer who sought courtroom experience from the outset and who built practical skills through a mix of public and private roles.
Reynolds’ earliest listed positions put him inside the courthouse. In 2012 he served as a Rule 711 lawyer for the Office of the State’s Lawyer in Champaign County. The following year he worked as a Rule 13 lawyer at the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Those roles required courtroom appearances, client interviews and drafting legal filings. They also exposed him to the procedural realities of criminal practice and to high-volume public office work.
After law school he added a judicial clerkship to his résumé. In 2014 he served as a volunteer judicial clerk in the Macon County Courts. That position gave him a judge’s-eye view of motion practice and courtroom management. Later that same year he joined The Law Offices of Brinkoetter, Hassinger & Strobach as an associate. In private practice he handled client counseling and case preparation alongside litigation tasks assigned by senior attorneys.
In 2016 Reynolds moved to Erickson, Davis, Murphy, Johnson & Walsh, Ltd. Records show he began work there that year. Over time he combined the courtroom experience from public service with the casework of a law firm environment. Colleagues say that early prosecutorial work and a judicial clerkship provided him a practical grounding that informs how he prepares cases and presents matters in court.
Reynolds is licensed to practice in Illinois and continues to work in the state’s legal community. He has a background that crosses public prosecution, judicial support and private firm practice. That mix has shaped a practice that remains rooted in courtroom procedure and client representation. He currently practices in Illinois, handling matters that involve courtroom work and direct client advocacy.
