About Dana L.
Dana L. Reynolds took an unconventional path to the law. She began her academic journey at Cornell University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management in 1998. She then shifted to legal studies and completed her J.D. at Widener University Delaware School of Law in 2006. The combination gives her a broad view of client needs and institutional systems.
Her early legal career included consecutive clerkships that exposed her to both trial-level family matters and federal appellate practice. In 2006 she served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Chandlee Johnson Kuhn at the Family Court for the State of Delaware. The following year she clerked for Judge Jane R. Roth at the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Those positions offered close work on opinion drafting, procedural questions, and the practical demands of courtroom decision-making.
After her clerkships, Reynolds entered private practice. She joined Richards Layton & Finger as an associate in 2008, gaining experience at one of Delaware’s established firms. Two years later she opened her own firm and has served as managing lawyer of the Law Offices of Dana L. Reynolds, LLC since 2010. Running a small firm has meant managing case strategy, client intake, and the administrative side of a legal practice.
Reynolds is admitted to practice in Delaware and is authorized to appear before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Her memberships reflect the contours of her work: she belongs to the Delaware State Bar Association and its Family Law and Women & the Law sections, as well as the Melson Arsht Inn of Court and the American Bar Association. These affiliations keep her connected to peers and to developments in both family and appellate practice.
Her practice draws on courtroom experience and appellate training. She handles family law matters and pursues appeals when cases require review at the circuit level. Colleagues note that her background in both trial and appellate settings helps her craft arguments that address factfinding and legal standards.
Outside the courtroom she balances the demands of a small firm practice with continuing education and bar association participation. Membership in Inns of Court and bar sections provides forums for mentorship and professional development. That combination shapes how she advises clients and presents cases before judges.
As of 2026, Reynolds continues to practice through the Law Offices of Dana L. Reynolds, LLC, maintaining a practice that includes family law matters and appellate work in the Third Circuit.
