About Cynthia
Cynthia Rignanese has built a legal life that moves between courtrooms, classrooms and community halls. Her career in Florida law stretches back decades and includes practice, teaching and public engagement.
She earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 1987 and a J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1990. During her student years she pursued studies overseas, spending time at the University of Siena in Florence and at Richmond College in London. Those years established a blend of business and legal training that has shaped her approach to practice.
Early in her career she obtained licensure from The Florida Bar and secured admission to the courts of the Middle District of Florida. In 1994 she taught as an adjunct professor at Webber International University, bringing practical experience into the classroom and helping to prepare younger lawyers and students for legal work.
She founded Rignanese & Associates, PLLC and serves as the firm’s senior managing partner. In that role she oversees day-to-day operations while handling client matters and supervising other attorneys. The firm is based in central Florida and serves clients across the state.
Outside the office she has engaged in media and outreach. She hosted a program on Blog Talk Radio called "LadyLawyerLive," a forum where legal topics were discussed for lay audiences. That work reflected an interest in explaining the law in plain language and in connecting legal issues to broader community concerns.
Her community and professional involvement is extensive. She was a founding member of the Winter Haven Women’s Bar Association and has served as its president. She helped establish Females Advancing Business (FAB), where she has been a director, legal advisor and served as president in 2013–14. She has held leadership posts in the Kiwanis Club of Lake Wales, including president and scholarship chair, and has represented the club at international conventions. She participated on organizing committees for Celebrate Lake Wales and the YMCA Turner Center in their inaugural years, and she is a mentor in the University of Florida mentoring program. She is also a member of the Estate Planning Council of Polk County and maintains membership in the American Bar Association and local business groups.
Her work combines legal practice, community service and education. She leads Rignanese & Associates, PLLC, where she practices law in Florida, concentrating on business, tax and estate planning matters for individual and institutional clients.
