About Corey Ryan

Corey Ryan Meridew built a career that bridges two Midwestern states. He grew up in an era when regional practice still meant frequent travel and steady relationships. He took that practical approach into law school and into practice.

He earned his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law after completing a B.S. at Indiana University Bloomington. Those two institutions anchor his professional identity. They also explain why he is admitted to the bars of both Michigan and Indiana and regularly deals with legal issues that touch each state.

After completing his legal education he entered private practice. He rose through the ranks and, in 2009, became a partner at the firm now known as Camden & Meridew. That move confirmed his role as a firm leader and placed him squarely in the daily work of running a mid-sized practice: managing client matters, mentoring younger attorneys and taking part in firm strategy.

Meridew’s practice reflects the practical demands of serving clients across state lines. He handles matters that arise under Michigan and Indiana law and coordinates work that requires attention to both jurisdictions. Colleagues describe him as steady and attentive to the details that matter to businesses and individuals alike. He is known around the office for breaking complex problems into clearer steps, a habit that clients and co-counsel appreciate.

Within the firm he has taken on responsibilities that go beyond brief advocacy. Partnership has required him to balance legal work with business decisions about staffing and case management. He has been involved in shaping how the firm approaches client intake and organizes its trial and transactional work, helping the team allocate resources where they can be most effective.

Outside of day-to-day practice, Meridew maintains ties to the legal communities in both states. Those connections help when cases require local knowledge or collaboration with counsel across county lines. He also draws on his academic background when explaining developments in the law to clients who need clear, practical guidance rather than legal jargon.

Now resident at Camden & Meridew PC, he continues to practice and advise clients in matters that arise under Michigan and Indiana law.
