About Corey
Corey Pollard built his legal foundation in Virginia classrooms and now practices under the state’s bar. He attended the College of William and Mary before continuing his legal studies at the University of Richmond School of Law. Those two institutions anchor much of his professional identity.
At William and Mary he completed his undergraduate work, and at Richmond he pursued formal legal training. Both schools have long ties to Virginia’s legal community, and Pollard’s education kept him close to the jurisdiction where he now practices. The coursework and clinic opportunities typical of those programs would have offered a mix of doctrinal study and practical skills training.
Pollard is licensed to practice in Virginia. His practice is built on navigating the procedures and rules that govern state courts and administrative bodies. He prepares filings, argues in court when necessary, and manages the day-to-day tasks that keep client matters moving forward. He also works on the research and drafting that form the backbone of most legal matters.
Colleagues and clients often measure an attorney by how plainly they explain complex issues. Pollard tends to favor clear, direct communication. He breaks down legal problems into concrete steps and maps out options that people can understand. That style matters in contested cases and in negotiations alike.
Across matters he balances attention to precedent and practical outcomes. He monitors developments in Virginia law that affect active cases and adjusts strategy as those developments emerge. He also draws on the local legal culture he learned during his time at both William and Mary and Richmond.
Outside of courtroom hours he remains engaged in continuing legal education and the routine work required to maintain an active practice. That includes updating procedural knowledge and honing the drafting and advocacy skills that clients expect.
Today Pollard practices law in Virginia, handling matters that arise under state law and in state courts. He maintains an active practice in Virginia, representing clients in matters before state tribunals and in related legal proceedings.
