About Corey A.
Corey A. Noland earned his law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019 after completing undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2016, where he read political science and history. He arrived in law school with a background in government and community affairs and finished his J.D. as the next step toward practice in North Carolina. His education provided him with a grounding in legal research and courtroom procedure during an early phase of his career.
After graduating, Noland entered private practice and now serves as an associate lawyer at Arnold & Smith PLLC. In that role he works on matters arising in family court and related civil proceedings. Colleagues describe him as methodical; he prepares filings carefully and pays attention to procedural detail. He has handled client intake, drafted motions and participated in hearings under the supervision of senior attorneys at the firm.
Noland is licensed to practice in North Carolina and is an active member of the North Carolina State Bar. He also holds membership in the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. Those memberships keep him connected to developments in state rules and family law practice standards. They also offer regular continuing legal education and networking opportunities he uses to stay current.
Outside the courtroom, Noland’s academic background in political science and history informs his approach to case themes and client counseling. He has experience explaining complex legal ideas in plain language and helping clients weigh procedural choices. The work often requires balancing short-term tactical decisions against longer-term family goals. He aims to present options clearly so clients can make informed choices about litigation, settlement and negotiation.
Since joining Arnold & Smith PLLC, Noland has concentrated his practice on family law matters in North Carolina courts. He represents clients in a range of domestic relations issues and collaborates with other lawyers at the firm on contested cases. He currently handles family law matters at Arnold & Smith PLLC.
